International Studies? Art History? Politcal Econ? Linguistics? English? Clinical Nutrition? LOL, you might as well start protesting occupy wall street now since you wont be getting a job.

^ What’s wrong with econ or international studies? They could always go get an MBA in the future, perhaps. Art history could be a unique major for law school. They like well rounded people. English is one of the top majors for pre-law, actually, when it comes to LSAT scores. Nutritionists can earn a nice amount. Linguistics could prepare someone, for example, for a master’s in speech language pathology (and they make quite a bit), or they could study computational linguistics, which I’m pretty sure is becoming a bigger field these days. That’s just a few examples, honestly. Majors don’t come with careers that are set in stone.

We’re all undergrads, and we’re all probably going to be dirt poor unless we go to grad school. Yes, many people with undergrad degrees like art history don’t have much of an idea of what they’ll do after, but let’s be honest, most of us don’t, and for those who do, they’ll probably change their mind. Don’t be so high and mighty about whatever it is you’ve chosen…

Hilarious… you must be the soul and highlight of every party.

^ ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

ahahaha

Really, Transfer2Best? Go check the salaries of current museum directors and lawyers repping museums/artists then get back to me

Even still, I’d rather be occupying wall street than stuck in a field I have no passion for. Sometimes peace of mind is worth more than money.

I’m guessing your major is Econ/Business Admin/something for drones.

UC GPA: 3.87
School/Major: UCLA (Biz. Econ, alternate: anthro (ba), UCI (biz econ.), UCB (Haas), UCSD (Econ), UCSB (econ and accounting).
Major GPA: 4.0
ECS: Had about two finance internships with over a 100+ hours of community service.
Pre-reqs: All completed by spring

The only reason I have a 3.87 is because I took a math analysis class about 4 years ago while I was in high school and received a C. Other than that, I’ve had an upward trend and only A’s.

Chance me/let me know what you think guys!

Campus Applying to: UC Berkeley
Major: Applying for Haas Business School D:
GPA: 3.83
School: UCLA
IGETC: Nope
Pre-Reqs GPA: 4.0
TAP: Nope
Essays: Ehh personal circumstances
ECs: did 2 internships so far so not really much time for clubs, but did the PwC challenge.

Campus Applying to: UCLA, Cal
Major: Geography
GPA: 3.69 overall, but a 4.0 in my last 55 units
School: Orange Coast College
IGETC: Done
Pre-Reqs GPA: 4.0
TAP: Yes @ UCLA
Essays: Pretty good, I think.
ECs: I don’t have too much here because I’ve been working about 15-20 hours a week while I’ve been in school. I do have a few volunteer hours with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Second Harvest Food Bank, and I’m in the Honors Program.

I’m pretty stressed out about this whole thing, especially since I just had to drop my badminton class with a W because of a knee injury. I’m hoping they don’t decide against me because of that. My GPA is kind of low-ish because there were a few B’s and a couple C’s from a long time ago that I couldn’t get rid of, so I’m hoping they will take grade trends into consideration. So what do you guys think?

Seems like a thread for people wanting to gloat, pretty unnecessary. would make more sense as a chancing thread which has already been done…

hello, i saw your post here and i just wonder if you finally got into berkeley cuz i applied berkeley majoring nutritional science as well.
@yayya this thread is three years old. It is unlikely that you will get a response.
