I hate to turn down UCLA, but I’m 90% sure UCI is for me. Especially for my major.

I was so scared I was not going to be accepted since there’s only a few days left. I got serious anxiety last night and was reading this forum yesterday night until 4am but I’m so grateful that I got in! Good luck to everyone else who are still waiting for their acceptances!
@CogSciRob Cog Sci here too. I got accepted at UCI too but rejected at UCLA. I know that Irvine’s cog sci program seems more fleshed out and specialized. Is that why you want to go there? I love UCLA but I am happy with UCI too. L
My only concern is housing. I’m 27 and was really planning to live on campus. I am bummed they don’t guarantee housing for transfers unless you’re under 25. I really don’t want to have to get some random apartment there. What do you plan for housing?

@birdbirdbird I’m 32 and I’m living in the Claremont/ Pomona area. I don’t want to move too far away because this is where my GF lives. I also own a business in north OC (a reptile store in Stanton). I have a prius, but I’m getting a motorcycle to help with traffic and the commute. My main concern is getting into a good postgrad program and I’m unsure which school gives the best opportunity for that between UCI, UCSD and UCLA

I wouldn’t be too worried, to those of you who haven’t heard back yet. I was admitted to UCLA, SD, SB and Davis for econ and I’m still pending for econ.
