@cacamimi im in the same group of business admin prim. business econ secondary. 3.5 gpa, nothing from them ):. really expecting the worse now.
Hey @thefuture2 I’m waiting to hear back about an EE major as well. If it makes you feel any better I haven’t seen many on this board (maybe 2). That in contrast with quite a few posts from the other engineering disciplines leads me to believe there is still hope for us.
Either way I am putting out good vibes for the both of us… and everyone else still waiting with bated breath.
This is almost as bad as turning 13… waiting for that owl to deliver that life changing sealed letter from Hogwarts…

@uisforutah @thefuture2 I am EE and so is my friend and we havnt heard anything.
@rollcake Same here - CS major, heard back from every UC except UCI. Even my friend who applied as second bachelor for SE has heard.
@nissincupnoodle I’ve asked around my CC and not many applied as EE’s. Not sure what that means, other than its not a very popular major these days.
@uisforutah yeah. Most people I know were civil. If you don’t mind me asking. What is your stats?
Primary: Nursing Sciences, Secondary: Biological Sciences. Still no word. 3.67 GPA with all prerequisites done. 4.00 Prerequisite GPA.
I don’t understand the logic in UCI’s acceptances… This is bull-crap
UCLA has the most applications by far and they release all notification on the same time on the same day. UCI seems to me like they are ran by second rate admissions counselors.
I’m still withholding my comments on UCI being a flag hating campus… but this is a bit too much. Seriously. I don’t understand the logic behind rolling admissions. How hard is it to let everyone know whether they got in or not?

I was admitted today to a major I didn’t apply for. Applied for Business Administration and Business Information Management, was accepted for International Studies. Very excited but highly confused and I don’t know whether this is a genuine offer. Has anyone encountered this before?
@Lamorra at least you got in!!! Congrats
@Lamorra that’s weird but considering what is required for my major, I would take that over a rejection
@chs2014 @Eterion Yeah, it’s weird enough to make me second guess it. I’m gonna double check in the morning if this is real or not and whether I should start celebrating or go back to worrying.
@nissincupnoodle transferring from OCC w/ overall GPA 3.8, IGETC done, all required classes for admission to the major done. Still need linear and diff and quantum physics. Tons of EC’s/leadership stuff, thousands of volunteer hours, and two college awards for academics (one state and one national). None of that means anything in the end though. It’s a dice roll my friend.
I really think the spots are very few with EE majors at all schools. It’s not glamous like biomedical, chemical and aerospace, so the pool is likely smaller.
@uisforutah No, the applicant pool is pretty large. EE is the second most applied to major in the college of engineering.

@Stairs Thanks for that Fall 2015 data link! Was somewhat reassuring to look at the selectivity/admit rate for my major so I guess there’s hope (or hopelessness) after all
Accepted to business econ alternate major :((
