3.175 first semester GPA from NYU Stern.
Few ECs, part-time jobs.
HS GPA: 98.75/100
HS Rank: 1/25
APs/Honors: None, school didn’t offer them.
ACT: 33 composite
HS ECs: Basic, a few clubs, 4 years of cheerleading.
Essay: Strong, original (so I’ve been told)
Recs: None

@westell 220–that makes me nervous I have a 4.0 too. are you is or oos

I dunno what to do… The office is closed and no one is around to help me figure this out so I’m just running around in circles on here.

yes I applied three times.

The only explanation for this chaos is that GPA is only a number, whereas it doesn’t factor in the difficulty of you classes

waitlisted…interantional student…currently in IL…anyone know what % of applicants they usually waitlisted and how many they might admit based on UNC’s “tradition”?

make sure you got the pop up thing figured out bro because thats what fixed it for me. I AM SO HYPED

But theres NO link to click on to get a popup…I’m in the student center and it says nothing other than what I posted before. They are trying to torture me here. haha.

Alright guys. Congrats to all of everyone, we’re all Tar Heels now haha. Time to go celebrate, see you all in Chapel Hill!!!

JesseG is there another computer you could use?

Not to point you out monstersgoMOO but I had better GPA/EC than you did but was waitlisted. I even took several graduate equivalent mathematics classes as a sophomore. Maybe I still have a chance, but I ended up applying to other schools anyways. Good luck to everyone!

Going to try that now whome…

I’ll be back I guess…

i got put on the waitlist

Thurston12: No, I understand, I was worried about my GPA and ECs with my application. I’d say it was the essay and HS stats (which still count for a lot as a sophomore applicant) that helped my application.
