[<em>] Essays: I think my essay was good. Common App was about a Physics video I made using special effects programs in my junior year. My supplement essay was about how Penn’s DMD program is so unique.

Also, I tried to make it clear in my common app essay that I have taught myself to use programs like adobe after effects and 3ds max since my school doesn’t have any classes that teach this, and all the classes that taught similar things were to simple.

Looking back on everything, I didn’t have a 3000 SAT score and I didn’t cure cancer. Besides those two weaknesses, I felt like I was a fairly strong applicant, and I am very passionate about the Digital Media Design Program at Penn. I found out about the DMD program only a couple of weeks before I decided to apply ED. I didn’t have much time to submit a portfolio, so I sent them a link of a video I made for my physics class junior year on youtube. In addition, I also made an extra short special effects video to send. I never got a reply from them as to whether or not they received the email. </p>

Well, only like 800 people got deferred, so I’m happy about that, and apparently they are going to try to accept more deferred students than in previous years. Congrats to everyone that got in, and sorry I posted so late.</p>
