@snizzle77 congrats, did you apply for the same major or did you apply for something different this year?

@douchhebagshiv LOL that was me on Wednesday. I couldn’t breathe or sit down or anything.

Congrats everyone! So excited for us all!

congrats snizzle77 and douchhebagshiv! lol I saw you on last years thread snizzle, glad you made it this year.

let’s hope there’s a box for me tomorrow. apr 1 status this morning.

@snizzle

What was your status on usconnect? Was it the April 1st/freshman status? The June 1st one? etc…

@snizzle77 What are your thoughts on appealing? I was unaware we were allowed to provide a letter of recommendation from a USC Alumni and employee I was offered to interview for a scholarship pending my status

@eppy21 dude i saw your video on vimeo, Your very talented! I hope you got in? You have an eye for being a director if thats what your gonna do

@Douchhebagshiv

Did you get in for the fall or spring semester? Actually, this question is for anyone with an ECD.

this is ridiculous… i got accepted in Berkeley, but i might get rejected from USC…(No mail today, and having 3 boxes…)

Thank you all so much. Didn’t get any financial aid/scholarships, so won’t be attending. But I like knowing I improved and did it this year!

Applied for philosophy, not business.

And as far as appealing goes, I really thought USC was all about connections and this and that. I thought I could brown nose my way in too. My boss had Andrew Viterbi and another board member personally put recommendations in for me.

AND IT JUST WON’T HAPPEN UNLESS YOUR GRADES ARE GOOD ENOUGH.

An appeal is worth writing if your spring grades are strong and you can write a good/powerful essay tying in why you want to study your major at USC.

I was angered by being rejected, but MUCH respect to USC after seeing that. And no my grades weren’t terrible (3.4), but they really pick the cream of the crop.

This isn’t a “rich/snobby” school. There’s a reason it ranked higher than UCLA. You need academic performance to get in, and you all did it. So congrats.

i got in for fall 2012

and this was my video i submitted if anyone is interested

https://vimeo.com/33036944

Snizzle- did you get in this year?

@douchhebagshiv: Your video was great! I loved the cinematography, especially the shot where the mob boss lights his cigar haha. If directing doesn’t work out, you have a future in cinematography! lol

@teddygrams

thanks bro legit

@snizzle: How do you know that you didn’t get any financial aid/scholarships? I thought no one got their financial aid package yet.

@douchhebagshiv how do you know you didn’t get any fin aid? that stuff usually doesn’t come out until about 1-2 weeks after you are accepted, if you applied for it of course.

I received a SGR about 2 weeks ago, and delivered my spring grades today in person. And then my in my “application status” I just checked like 10 minutes ago, and now it changed from SGR to this:

We have received your Common Application and USC Supplement, and it appears we require no additional information at this time. We will be reviewing applications through the month of March, and we expect to be able to meet our commitment to notify freshmen by April 1st. We often like to see the mid-year grades of freshman applicants. If you have not already done so, please submit your final, fall term marks when they become available. Submit a Mid Year Report school form, or click “Mid-Year Grades” in USConnect. Sometimes, in the course of our review of applications, we find that we need additional information. In such cases we will mail a written request. If you receive a request for more information, please respond promptly.

Any other SGR’ed people get this change? Thanks.

i hope so… *Since a lot might not go since they already sir to a UC and the people with sgr should be admitted spring

Got that change today as well and submitted my grades on Tuesday. Looking like that is a good sign. I hope!

OT OT OT OT OT OT rejection! Haha, I do not need to worry about more. Emory, I am coming

So i got the mid-term grad report status today and I just checked it again just now and I don’t see it anymore or the june 1st transfer box either. there’s only three boxes now. USC is really messing with me. Has this happened to anyone?
