Yes. The first waves of decisions will be released by April 1st.

I’ve allowed all pop ups, and I’ve tried using USConnect on different browsers. I’m not getting anything. It still looks exactly like my screen shot.

Jeremy:

Any proof of that? Just seems a little bit early especially since April 1 is when all freshman applicants must be notified by.

Meech:

You’re application probably hasn’t been downloaded yet. Give it some more time and two more boxes will appear.

Most of the freshmen are getting their decisions now…

^

I didn’t click the link but those must be the cream of the crop. The ones awarded full ride scholarships and what not.

Yeah most decisions for transfer come out around May I think, unless you applied to Viterbi.

If you get an SGR it’ll be even longer…

im sorry but HOW DO YOU LOG ON TO USC CONNECT. i go to the site and there is nothing where it says “request password” or anything. just a log in section. what is the actual website i should go on to?

Do anyone know how the fee wavier works for USC? I clicked " Other Fee Wavier" for the payment type. Are we suppose to request one from USC or does it automatically request it through common app? I check the FAQ’s for USC and it just said to request one through the “Payments” for common app.

@xkrystlex3, I think you have to personally request it yourself. Someone correct me if I’m wrong though.

CSS site will be down for maintenance at 9pm EST so finish quickly!

@crown of the sea:

when do people people that applied to viterbi get their decisions then?

@xkrystlex3:
I think i read that you could ask your financial aid office to write some kind of later to USC. But I also think it will determine what you put on your FAFSA. That’s how i remember getting a fee waiver when i was in high school. But it could be different for transfers.

People who applied to Viterbi got their responses starting in early April, not sure if it was right on April 1st though.

For example, I didn’t hear back until mid-June because I got a SGR

ooo ok. Wow that’s pretty early. I hope they don’t ask for a SGR for me. That would be pretty cool to know know if your if you got in while your still in school. lol what engineering major are you? I applied for the computer science major.

I’m not engineering, I’m in the Marshall school. I just knew that a lot of people got accepted really early since we had a list going on that listed who got accepted and when

I really hope we all find out sooner since it will make the moving and preparation process so much easier. Even if I don’t get in, I’d like to just know sooner so I can commit to a specific program here…I have a feeling i’ll be getting the Spring Grade Request.

Are SGRs a good sign?

@DJpsu

What makes you say that? Do you have less than 30 units? I really hope I don’t get a spring grade request. I’ve taken on a super strenuous schedule this semester :/

Two ways to look at them:

1: Applicant is on the fence. USC doesn’t want to deny them but they want to see your current grades to make a more informed decision.

2: (I believe the most common reason) Applicants with less than 30 semester credits usually get one since at the time of their application they will have only accumulated 1 semester’s worth of units.

@encgdr,

I’m not quite sure if it’s a good sign, but it shows that you still have a chance and they just want to see if you’re keeping up with schoolwork.

@Bandit,

I believe I have 31 transferrable credits, so I’m not too worried about the credits, but I’m just always pessimistic about this kind of stuff. I regret taking hard classes this semester, as well - mine’s like all reading and critical analysis intensive and it gets so tiring, burying my face into a book 24/7. I just want to get higher than a 3.5.

My conclusion that the first wave of decisions will be released by April 1st is based on the fact that the transfer merit scholarship (around $10500) recipients will be notified by April 1st.

^God, I would KILL for that money. My EFC is insanely high, so if I get in, it’ll be loan city for me -___-
