Along with what @alaintran said, people who’ve heard to this point are early. Nobody should expect a decision until June. Easier said than done, I know. Finishing the semester strong is the best thing we can all do for ourselves right now.

I am also waiting for annenberg. So nervous right now.

Do you think they are done with Marshall applicants? It seems like all the Marshall applicants on this forum got in already. Am I the only one left lol.

@jojoyo I am also a Marshall applicant and have yet to hear anything… I want definite reassurance that they consider your second choice major if you are rejected from your first choice. Anyone know about this?

marshall applicant

haha we’re all freaking out!

We all seem really intelligent and motivated and no matter what, we’re going places! We need to maintain a relaxed mentality. Is anyone doing anything relaxing for the summer while we wait?

So I know this is an older thread but hi! I’m a senior right now, and USC was always my dream school since I was little, but didn’t get accepted out of high school. I committed to a different school, but for some reason I feel kind of weird about it right now. I’m thinking I may look into Community College then try to transfer to USC, but how difficult is it truly? I’m a good student, involved in the community and with leadership, want to major in public relations or political science. what kind of grades would I need to attain at a CC and what sorts of things do I need to do to make my application stand out if I decide to go through with that plan. any advice?

hey @dm, i went to a usc transfer session and the counselor told me they definitely will consider your second major. she actually told me that if usc was the goal and you didn’t want to go anywhere else, you could put up to 5 extra “second” choice majors and they would consider you for all of them.

@uscgirl In which part of the common app or supplement could you list 5 extra major choices? I don’t recall seeing that in any part of the application.

@alain, she told me if you wanted to do so you had to type it up on the additional information portion :P

Gotchaa! ^

@uscgirl Much appreciated!

I just checked USConnect and they just informed me they sent my decision, anyone have any idea it takes a letter to get from Cali to Florida, I have a feeling I may have to wait awhile :P

what does USC do with open (undecided) sophomore transfers?

Who else can’t open the financial aid status check on connect?

@abbylouise. There isn’t a formula for getting into a school. If there was, everyone would be getting in lol…
I think the only advice anyone can give you is work hard and get good grades. Also be involved in activities that directly related to the field you want to go into. Also, if you are unsure about attending a university or community college, talk to a counselor and figure out what your options are and what is the best fit for you. Good luck with everything!

@tomred I haven’t been able to open it for a couple hours now.

@tomred,
I can’t open mine either. Its saying technical difficulties

yeah my financial aid box is giving me errors as well.

Good. I thought this might have been a bad sign for me or something. lol
