Official USC 2013 Transfer Thread

My theory is that they’ve pretty much accepted everyone already and they are just going to send a mass amount of rejection letters out all at once

@mimidec1991: what were your EC’s like? can you post your visual submission? I want to reapply next semester forsure and want to see accepted examples. if you can thanks man!

@mimidec1991 thanks, what was your major?

I called the financial aid office and they said I should expect my aid package sometime later this week or early next week. Hopefully its enough that I can attend : /. Good luck again to everyone!

Dont worry guys! last year i got my status change on the friday before June 1st! (admissions letter on saturday), so they are still combing through applications. Keep your hopes high!

I think they still have not fully updated their admission decisions to all the students they admitted, so don’t lose hope!

This is my visual sample. I also submitted a photo narrative but for some reason it is nowhere to be seen on my computer. I’ll update that if I find it.

@Harry188 my major is film production

Hey guys! I have a quick question.
The dead line to SIR to a UC is soon approaching and I still haven’t heard from USC am I able to SIR to a UC just incase I don’t get accepted?

@ dpayan7, yeahhh aside from the groups where no one has been accepted yet, I’m thinking the same thing. There were some date changes in my oasis on 5/13 and 5/14, but as I haven’t heard anything since then I’m guessing that’s when they decided and they’ll send out the rejection letter June 1st. But I’d be happy to be proven wrong of course!

Anyone else send their transcripts electronically? Just wondering if they preferred the paper ones…

Can’t believe May is almost over!

I love this thread, i feel comfortable when i read what you guys poseted. Here has a bunch of warm heart guys  so happy

@ronaldot my transcript was sent may 7th! and they just updated my portal monday!

any annenberg applicant who has been accepted?

@mimidec1991 oh but my major is business so Marshall is more competitive idk how they feel for 3.6…

@Harry188

Ah I see. I don’t know how competitive their business department is, my best friend got in last year after transferring from a local community college also.

I know their film department’s acceptance rate is 4% - 5%

Good luck! :]

@mimidec1991 I saw your portfolio, looks great. Good luck at school! #fighton

Just got off the phone with USC. They said they’re still reviewing my application. shrugs
I applied for Film/Television Production

Got accepted into NYU Tisch (Film) and had to admit today. But I could always change my mind if I get that USC letter quick.

There has been a change to my planned courses for Spring quarter at my current institution. In my UC and Common Application I said I would be taking an upper division EE course but ended up dropping it after I was admitted into UCSD (I am transferring from electrical engineering to aerospace/mechanical engineering). The course is not a prerequisite at either schools. I listed it as planned under “Spring courses” so that I wouldn’t fall behind in my track at my current institution in case I didn’t transfer. UCSD didn’t have a problem with the change but I am worried about USC.

Does anyone know how to go about informing USC about changes in planned courses? Will my admission decision be affected?

@jon I would just email them.

What do you think my chances are at admission if i send in my sgr with straight c’s.

@LILMISSJ depend on ur gpa what u applied at the first. Nor, they may say C you
