If he got a 4.0, maybe he didn’t have the required classes like English or Math, b/c there are people 3.6 that get into Marshall.

Hello, I am currently a freshman in college right now. I went to a private university my first semester yet did not like it at all, and thus went back home for my second semester and went to community college instead. I did not do very well my first semester at the university (3.0 gpa), yet this second semester at home I just received a perfect 4.0 gpa taking 19 units, and I had a job throughout the semester. I was hoping to transfer into USC my sophomore year, yet ended up not applying during the regular transfer period because I knew that I would not get in with my 1st semester academic record. I however have a very good record now, and am wondering if USC accepts applications for the spring semester (this coming up year). If anyone knows or has any advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

dude, you should have just applied. USC’s admissions are very strange in that even ppl. with 3.2 & 3.3 get in. If you have a 3.5 coming from a 4yr school, that’s very competitive. But, if you still do well next year and keep your grades really high, that will work in your favor. USC (like most colleges) favor upwards trends.

Is the admissions committee out of the office? I emailed my advisor…got an automatic response saying she was out until the 3rd.

@ronaldot they’re out of their offices until the 3rd meaning their in meetings on campus about the final decisions they need to make on people’s applications. As for their out of town conference, they are all back on campus.

@mickeyborke are you stalking admissions?? lol i would be too at this point. i can’t take this waiting any longer!

@frankbot2000 haha well they tweeted that they were back and I’m on Trojan Transfer Plan so I have a specific counselor assigned to me and I emailed her back in January and I received that same automatic message and she replied and just explained that they were all in meeting for decisions but they were still on campus.

Has anyone heard anything at all? My status is still…we do not need additional information. It changed on monday after my spring grades were sent…

So I’m assuming a lot of us will hear back within the next week…btw I just spoke with an admissions representative, she told me SGRs should hear back within 2 weeks of submitted grades.

My spring grades were sent more than two weeks ago but they just updated my status on monday saying they received them so I should probably base it off of that date haha. I feel like the longer we have to wait the worse the outcome will be.

They’re probably focusing on final decisions for people w/o SGRs. All applicants w/o SGRs have until june 1 to enroll (so they need to have a decision before then), while SGRs have an enrollment date based on when they are accepted…so it wouldn’t surprise me if we don’t hear back until after the 1st.

I just don’t think SGR’s will hear a decision before June 1st… Regardless of when grades were sent. I’m sure they have to base SGR’s of off how many others without enroll…

Annenberg? Anyone? Anything?

@ronal You have 2 weeks to decide after they give you the decision on whether to go or not I believe. They wouldn’t expect you to make a decision in under a day on whether to attend their school or not.

Hey guys. So much for not stressing. For the first time ever my stars interactive audit report is opening instead of saying sorry, not available. It also appears that two classes for fall 2013 have been added under PL (planned). However, there’s also this message on there: ER02W: ???
–>ERROR: BQ03S: NO REQUIREMENTS FOR DEGREE PROGRAM
STARS TERMINATED (SEE REASON ABOVE). CONTACT DEGREE PROGRESS.

Anyone got any idea what it all means?

@m1ssmare I think most people who have access have that…unless it has your major and classes i dont think it really means much

OK so I called admissions and they said we are not supposed to log into OASIS till we are admitted. She also said I got the error message because there’s not yet been a decision made but that we Annenberg applicants will DEFINITELY get our decisions by the 1st.

USChopeful, I asked because I had access for a while and had nothing. It seems oasis isn’t an indicator of anything. We just have to wait as patiently as we can.

@m1ssmare My stars interactive audit report was unavailable to me until now. It just opened up for me too. I really hope that means something.
