@EndPhase did you get in afterall ? If so, what was your stats and major?
:)

Well many others did receive a decision before May 31st…

@ alaintran9 Perhaps, the others summer break started earlier like Pepperdine university.

I was talking with a USC transfer admit on facebook and he told me that he got in with 31 credits and a 3.5 gpa. He told me that he also did not take any english classes. I feel like my whole life has been a lie. those english classes aren’t even required!!! He also said that many go into viterbi with 3.2 gpa’s. this gives me a peace of mind :)

@jrenee I applied for the Digital and Print Journalism major @ Annenberg, too. I got an SGR a couple of days ago.

I’ve been following this thread for a while now haha just decided to make an account to help me interact. I also applied to Annenberg as a Communication major, no SGR yet.

@ lovekatyperry what’s your stats?

@HeartyBowl: Are you a Viterbi applicant?

yes I applied to viterbi

Does anyone know when kids with SGRs get their financial aid package?

Do they only receive it once they’ve been admitted?

btw @ajmy17 … it won’t let me respond to your message because I don’t have 15 posts yet, but I’ll be sure to tell you what the physical copy of the Sgr says once I receive it.

@HeartyBowl

I applied as a Junior.

did you apply as a junior or soph luda?

So let me tell Ya’ll a little story about how USC made me cry today.
I was on my way back to work and I get a call, it’s from USC (imagine my hopeful excitement) and the nice lady on the other line asks as to why I only took two units at my college last semester. I said I had taken four total, two were at a four year but I was also attending a community college. She proceeds to say they are now reviewing my application and that I never informed them that I was attending a community college and to a school it appears as if I’m trying to hide something. I tried to explain that I wrote it on my application but was told I had not (I also thought I’d sent a transcript but since they didn’t have it I figured there was no use in arguing). But all I could really hear was “It looks like you are trying to hide something” but she did say I could still send the transcript in. Well, I broke down (not on the phone), like major melt down wondering how this was going to effect their decision (I have a 3.97 GPA so I was certainly not trying to hide anything). Then about ten minutes later I get a call and am told they’d had it all along but it had not been sent to their office (bless the kind woman on the phone for deciding to double check) … Sooooo, moral of the story they are currently reviewing film student applications :)

ya seriously! me too. he also told me that his physics: mechanics/thermo did not transfer over to usc so he had to take it again at usc :(

That would suck if mine didn’t transfer over because I hated mechanics and i would hate to take it again lol

I actually couldnt get into my physics class for spring so I’m hoping I can take it this summer so that I dont have to take it at USC. I absolutely HATE physics haha. worst class ever. I hate thats its a requirement for CS

@lilly dam haha usc fbi agents or what? seems like they wanted to sit you down in a interrogation room
