^ SGR is good because you haven’t even rejected but also not so good because most of the marshall spots will be gone by the time your application is evaluated.

@LMUtoUSC hey we’re both trying to transfer to USC from LMU! Good luck!

Is anyone going to make a stats thread so that people can post their stats and accepted/SGR? They did that for last year’s thread and people found it extremely helpful.

Good Morning everyone, @xsayax @Spiffyb0i @scahopeful @fightingtitan @Trojfan131 @anyabel @HopeForMarshall @Coolkid094 @fdominguez

Sorry for the late reply, drove home and back to get my package :D

First of all, thank you so much for all of the congratulations!!
It means the world to me; I wish you all the best of luck in your acceptances as well!

Ok, so if I forget to answer of any of the questions, just ask.

I live in California, applied to Marshall, also I submitted my application towards the deadline date.

I already made my deposit, but I believe in the package it says you have two weeks upon receiving the acceptance.

The Facebook page can only be accessed through USConnect.

As for my stats, it should also be mentioned that I am super passionate about USC, so I think that really shined through in my essays, last year and this year. I also received the Trojan Transfer Plan as a non-legacy last year.

High School GPA: 4.0
College GPA: 4.0 last semester, looking like it this semester as well.
SAT: 1880 …good year
I did not do any extra curricular stuff in college as I wanted it to be all for USC, but in high school I had many and strong leadership roles as well.

If I can be of any more help, please do let me know :)

Fight On!

I’m in the same situation. I think they save spots for sure for spr people. Housing might be an issue though. I think and from what I’ve heard, that your application probably looks good, but they want to confirm that your spring grades continue with your same grade trend. Did you ever have an off semester with grades? I seriously don’t think they would waste everyone’s time with spr requests if they knew in advance they’d fill up the spots. I might be wrong, but… Anyways good luck!!

SGR

Hey guys whoever got a SGR or acceptance if you can post your stats with yur comments it would really be appreciated and give people like me still waiting an idea! Thank you !!

@romab93 I’ve asked people to do that or for someone to start a stats thread. It only makes sense haha

@5nonnegotiables
I’ve had all As and one B each semester. Taken 19 courses total, 2 in progress. Right now it looks like I’ll get As in both of these classes as well. Keeping my fingers crossed.

@182Drummer182
Only two weeks to decide?
That seems short.
I didn’t think they would give us so little time.

On the site it says you have till June 1st, or 2 weeks after your acceptance (if June 1st comes before 2 weeks).

@182Drummer182 Congratulations on the huge accomplishment! Fight on! I was wondering how many units you had completed by the time you submitted the application and what grade you will be considered as when you enter in the fall?

Too anxious right now! Anyone else applying to transfer from NYU?

@xsayax
Oh ok. Thanks for the clarification.

When do they stop sending out SRGs?

some questions: are SGRs sent to our emails or by snail mail?
Also, do you guys consider SGRs good or bad? Do a lot of people get them>

@randombookie

I got a sgr and I actually just saw a msg in my usc account , under I think the admissions tab. I clicked on it and it was a letter format that looks like its being sent to my home as well. No email notification about this though.

I just logged in and got an SGR as well. The letter is dated Saturday April 26, I’m assuming it will arrive today or tomorrow.

@romab93

Major: Spanish
GPA: 4.0
EC’s: Not many, 5+ year of work experience, 2+ years of volunteering with the disabled students program at my current college.
GE’s: missing most of them

Honestly I don’t think I’m very competitive considering they want people who are involved, or at least it seems. I’m not expecting to be admitted but for what it’s worth I’ll definitely be sending my transcripts.

Fortunately it seems like I’ll be ending my time in JC with a 4.0, it would suck even more if I’m not admitted after they receive that information so I’m hoping it’s a good sign. In any case I have SIR’d UCLA just in case.

Edit: I actually didn’t mention my volunteer work because I applied at the very last minute and forgot. I’m def. not getting in. Lol

@5nonnegotiables & @randombookie

Did you apply to UC’s as well? Your ‘names’ seem familiar. Will you attend USC if admitted?

Just curious, any History majors that applied? Wondering what your numbers were(If you do not mind me asking). I applied to USC as a backup to UCLA(Which I was admitted and already committed to). I had a 3.83 GPA and 4.0 towards my major.
