Official USC 2014 Transfer Thread

@Paguy8‌ You’re killin’ me man haha! I hope it is, but until I get the letter I won’t celebrate. If it does turn out to be an acceptance, thank you. That really means a lot, no joke.
@asdfg789‌ It depends how much you like USC and what standing you are. If you’re currently a sophomore and get rejected, I wouldn’t continue unless I absolutely loved USC. If you’re currently a freshmen and receive a rejection, I’d stay another year and apply again. Why not?

@Spiffyb0i
A good number of Marshall applicants haven’t received anything yet.
@asdfg789
Depends on A) how many more classes you can take. Like @Spiffyb0i said, if you can reach junior level status or take more rigorous courses such as calculus that should help your chances. B) The other possibility is if you suddenly develop brand new life experience, completely rewrite your essays or better better letters of rec.

I got my acceptance from Marshall in the mail today.

@Spiffyboi @paguy8 I’m starting to think that if your restriction date is after February (i.e. after the last applications were sent in), that means they’ve done something on your OASIS since that date which is a strong indicator of being under review. Combine that with a filled out STARS report and it’s a strong indicator of acceptance. However, if you don’t have a different time than around the date you submitted your app, it just means they haven’t even gotten to you yet.

@CSB111 congrats! Can you post your stats here: <a href=“USC Transfer Decisions 2014 - Transfer Students - College Confidential Forums”>USC Transfer Decisions 2014 - Transfer Students - College Confidential Forums;

@Spiffyb0i‌ yeah I wouldn’t get your hopes up for nothing haha but you are welcome I no the feeling just not for USC , and @scahopeful‌ yeah I read your comment wrong before but i looked back at it and yeah you are correct.

Has anyone been accepted into Dornsife yet?

So what’s the reason people are getting acceptances so early when the date is June 3? Does usc accept on rolling basis

@romab93 I think they will let us know BY June 3

@letters95‌ yes I have

Anyone accepted into sociology for dornsife yet? I just completed my financial aid since i needed a good deal of info from my parents in order to complete it. So does this mean that they cannot send me an acceptance packet until they can also include my financial aid?..just wondering if a late financial aid estimate is holding off my acceptance packet. (Assuming i get accepted…hopefully)

Hey everyone, I’m a Dornslife transfer (sociology).
I am able to log onto Oasis and my stars audit form has a box with writ140, but my courses/major are not filled out and I have a red error message. Does this mean I’m not accepted? Is it the “good sign” that everyone is talking about or no? I didn’t get a SGR (yet). I’m a bit confused, haha.

@kyle2015 I would say that they are completely un-relatable bro.

do any of the accepted students know when and how we are supposed to reserve for orientation?

Also anything coming up that we are supposed to do immediately after being accepted ( I’ve already paid the deposit )

You know it’s past 5:30 PST and the mailman still hasn’t come yet…what the hell.

@ivelosthope I have the SAME exact thing dude! I’m hoping it is a good sign.

@SCBruh777 thanks man, it’s good to know that my acceptance letter shouldn’t be held off lol.

Just checked my USC portal and got a SGR on 4/30. Have already completed 54 units, 4.0 GPA at a CC in NorCal. This kinda sucks as I was hoping not to get one. Oh well. Congrats to those who have gotten in :)

@Spiffyb0i Hahaha it just seems all too perfect, doesn’t it? This may be the day for you! Mailman might just be allowing the suspense to build…

@Trojfan131‌ Imagine he shows up…and there’s nothing.

@Spiffyb0i Hmmm haha well then you have my permission to use naughty words in his direction for being late. Pretty nuts that he is this late, though.

@ivelosthope Having the error message does not = rejection so don’t worry, it can change :)>-

@Spiffyboi can you post a screenshot of your OASIS so people can see what we mean when we say “filled out STARS Interactive Audit Report”?
