Official USC 2014 Transfer Thread

@scahopeful‌ Oh ok, understandable, thanks! I took my last final this morning and am turning in my last paper tomorrow. Unfortunately, people in a few of my classes have caused for our grading to be delayed, I’m really not sure when I will have my grades available, hopefully by the end of next week. Have you gotten any type of decision yet?

@scahopeful so if our restrictions are way back from January and we haven’t received an SGR then they simply haven’t made it to our application?

@hepburn95 Not yet. I was SGRed yesterday and accidentally sent in my unofficial transcript 3 times yesterday. I read that someone sent in their grades and got their decision 3 days later! How do you think you did this semester?

@scahopeful‌ Wow that’s great, hopefully it’s that fast for us too. Good luck! I took 22 units and I’m confident that I got a 4.0. How about you?

@MPCCBT Either that or you have an SGR waiting for you haha. A trend with SGR’s is that most people get them on USConnect before in the mail. So, just keep checking for an SGR unless your restrictions change. If they do change then start checking for a decision.

@caliarch‌ you should be getting some good news soon. Keep a close eye on the mailbox! Congrats!!

@hepburn95 I took 18 and finished the semester with a 3.95. Not impressive but I have a very consistent upward trend that bumped my cumulative (excluding my transfer credits–though those also help my upward trend) from 3.88 to 3.91. And wow, you sound like a shoe in! How many total credits do you have?

@scahopeful‌ That’s very impressive! Don’t underestimate that! You sound like a great candidate. Thank you, I appreciate your kind words! I’ve taken 73, I’m not positive how many will transfer, but my college says that they are all “transferable.” I just talked to USC and they said that I should not be expecting a hard copy of my SGR in the mail, so I can calm down about not receiving that.

@hepburn95 Well thank you haha. And no problem, just giving credit where it’s due. I couldn’t imagine taking 22 credits. Does your intended major require a certain number of credits by the end of the spring term or something?

@scahopeful‌ Nope, I just like a challenge! I figured that if I’m going to have to prove myself to these schools, I’m going to really go for it!

Could anyone who got an Audit report first filled out help me?

My audit report, financial aid, restrictions and stars report are all filled out as of 5/20 and 5/21.
How long until my USC Connect updates or until I receive my admissions package? I live in Ohio.

Thanks guys!

What’s your major and what school did you applied as? @wdemasters02‌

@transfersammy‌ I applied to school of architecture as an architecture major and it says that on my reports as well.

Congratulations @wdemasters02! I think it’s a good sign!! Now you have to wait few days to get an actual pocket from USC. I’m psych major and my STAR report is still the same… sigh.

My financial aid updated today and my restrictions yesterday, is this any indication of anything?

Any Psychology majors and/or Dornsife people got their restrictions and STARS report changed? I think I’m the only one who didn’t get SGR and restriction date is still May 2nd…

@scahopeful Best of luck to you!! We’re all keeping our fingers crossed. In terms of stats, I had a 3.8 GPA from my CC (Santa Barbara City College), and have completed 60 units. I’m not sure how many of those credits will transfer, though.

@stark42 My main interest is in editing and cinematography. I’m also mainly focused on television production.

@fadumbear , same thing happened to me. Yesturday my restrictions updated today my financial aid.

Thanks! @fueledbyfilm‌

I hope they receive my grades soon. Summer’s dragging and there’s really nothing to keep my mind off of it

haven’t heard back yet nor did get sgr, who hasn’t heard back yet?
