Has anyone seen or heard of someone getting accepted or rejected by SCA who sent a SGR? I haven’t seen any here so far.

Also congrats to all of you who have been accepted! Especially through this frustrating SGR process.

@steakrogue James Madison University

So is decision coming out throughout July 15th? I did not apply for financial aids so can’t access to OASIS.
I applied to only two schools and hopefully I get in.

@back2home that’s the word around but i checked 2012 and 2013 thread, the latest someone got a decision was the 20th so hopefully this year we would know sooner rather than later. good luck!!

What is SCA?

@Saywhatter School of Cinematic Arts. Took me a long time to figure that out. :-)

Hey Guys, I was a transfer applicant who was originally rejected and I appealed my decision. I am asking my question on this thread because I am pretty much a party of one over on the appeals thread and tired of talking to myself over there, lol. Anyways, my restrictions on Oasis updated the day after I submitted my appeal (6/19) and then again yesterday (7/10). Can we logic this please? Usually a recent change in restrictions results in an acceptance, especially since my restrictions have updated twice now. I am not getting my hopes up, but just curious. I mean, do they update your restrictions again if you’ve been rejected? Thoughts?

@Jazz49 My understanding based on what I have read here is that the restrictions typically get updated right before a final decision is made, which could be either acceptance or rejection. I have no idea if the same holds true in the case of appeals, however. Good luck.

Got in!
Will post my stats on stats thread

@steakrogue
Can you please tell us the order in which you received your acceptance (Oasis, mail, email, usconnect, etc)?
Thanks!

still nothing…

giving up after today. woke up at 5 am (rare) to check and nada. this is getting to be ridiculous. :-w

It all happened so fast! Hahaha. I don’t know if this is going to be useful at all, but this is my timeline of finding out I got accepted. I was SGRed 4/24 and sent in my unofficial transcripts in very early June.

Tuesday, July 8th- Restrictions Updated at 3:30 pm

Wednesday, July 9th- STARs Report and IAR Updated at 3:01 am

Thursday, July 10th- Intent to Enroll Box and FB Group and a weird new box in FA about loans popped up on USC Connect in the early morning. Also received the official envelope and acceptance letter.

Friday, July 11th- I can finally access the Intent to Enroll! The PDF of my decision is also now viewable on USC Connect. They also keep updating and revising my STAR report. They updated it just now at 11:10 am.

If any of you have any other questions, let me know :)

Seems to be that if Restrictions is going to be updated, it’s going to be updated at 3:30p.

I, again, received nothing in the mail and no updated in OASIS.

Lol.

@mockingmirror
does you application status on connect say

“We have received your Common Application and USC Supplement, and it appears we require no additional information at this time. We will be reviewing applications through the month of May, and we expect to be able to meet our commitment to notify transfers by June 1st. Sometimes, in the course of our review of applications, we find that we need additional information. In such cases we will email a request. If you receive a request for more information, please respond promptly.”

Mine switched back to this after I turned in Spring Grades in late June…

under this is the PDF with the SGR

Thanks for the clarification @dmdwelle I don’t think it’s looking to good for me though…usually if you’re accepted your stars report fills out the day after your restrictions update and mine is still blank. But congrats on your acceptance BTW!

Are you on the TTP?

@iloveasianguys By any chance, are you on the Trojan Transfer Plan (TTP). Meaning that you could meet with a counselor to determine a path and have a chance to transfer over after 1 to 1 1/2 years? I am and still waiting. Not legacy. Good GPA, EC’s and letter of Rec from a former student and professor at USC who taught at my CC this past year. If I don’t get into USC I am on my way to beautiful San Diego, USD!

@jack2011 it says exactly that but I’ve never noticed that it said anything different prior to me getting SGR and me turning in my spring grades.

I think honestly we have to see a change in Restrictions so we can see if we are denied or accepted. That still seems to be the method in finding out if any progress has been made on a decision for any applicant.

@mockingmirror yeah that’s how most people see but don’t think either of us have access to oasis which sucks
