How does admissions view an applicant with 60 units completed by the end of spring vs an applicant with 30 units completed by the end of spring?
@TonyStark93 I mean, I don’t like admitting it, but we might be. Do you remember the deadline for last year? For some reason, I want to say it was June 6th, but I can’t recall for sure.
@marinersfan13 Yup, that could be a very good sign if you see a change in your stars within the next two days or so!

@HappyLifeMachine Is there nothing on the portal? Last year, USC had a direct link to a Facebook page for new transfers.

I remember getting my rejection PDF at midnight last year, so I’m a bit nervous to check my portal in a couple of hours.
Fellow Viterbi applicant here. I haven’t received any information at all so far. Safe to assume I haven’t been accepted, just waiting for the official notice.
@plzuscplz It means try staying up tonight if you can, haha In the best scenario, you’ll have your stars report filled out in the early morning hours and that means you’ve been accepted!
What time did it change, by the way?
@zettasyntax Oh my god… I’m so so so nervous. How early do you think they’ll update it? Like a little past midnight?
And my time changed to 4:19 pm today but I only checked now.
@plzuscplz I think it’s always happened after 1AM or so. Maybe it’s a better idea to get some sleep and check in the morning Some guy even had it update at like 6AM the past year, so there can sometimes be a pretty wide range of time.
@zettasyntax Yeah maybe I’ll check when I wake up tomorrow… So if I did get in, it would be updated by tomorrow morning? And if not, it would mostly be a rejection right?
@plzuscplz By last year’s data, if the stars report wasn’t filled out within two whole days of the restrictions updating, it did typically mean rejection (as in my case). I’m pretty confident that you’ll wake up to nice yellow bars and circles in your stars interactive audit report though

Also, I’m getting really paranoid. If USC requests for spring grades, they email you right?
@plzuscplz Some people don’t seem to be getting emails this year, but yeah, USC will let you know somehow (probably via the portal). However, I’m fairly sure that the restrictions don’t update with an SGR, so you’d most likely get a straight up decision.
@plzuscplz I got my SGR online first then via postal mail. I don’t think USC is sending emails regarding decisions.

@plzuscplz on yousc. It updated on May 1st saying the requested my grades and on May 2nd they posted the pdf and I received the postal mail. I think it’s too late for an SGR at this point. They usually only send them to people with less than 30 units (me) and/or major pre reqs in progress (I took calc 2 in spring).
