Official USC Class of 2011 Decisions Thread

WOW! All of your SAT scores are amazing. Wonder if this changes anyones minds as to the caliber of USC? Within the last few years it is apparent they are really raising the bar on the quality of admits. Congrats to all of you! :)

idlaunva, I’ve got a 3.5 UW GPA, and I’m nervous too!

diehldun, it all depends on the quality of your school

i guess USC realized that I came from one of the best math schools in the country (i made sure to note on my app) and that 3.5 is not the same as it is in my local school

anyway, good luck and dont be nervous… theres not much you can do at this point

i’m sure they can tell by your sat score too.

i mean, they can’t come to a conclusion completely off of that, but if you have a 4.0 UW and a 4.95 W but a 1700 sat score and nothing to explain, then they’ll question the veracity of your sky high gpa.

i mean i remember my friend from a local school telling me during junior year that the highest SAT scorer got a 2020 :. i was like wOw. at my school, it’s like you’re nothing if you don’t get 2300+.

My school is sooo cloooose of being top 100, like 2 schools away.

Will that give me an advantage?

It’s just that my school’s got a great name in the East Coast, yet how would USC know how prestigious my school is?
