*******OFFICIAL USC Class of 2019 Results/Discussion Thread**********

@collegeswag1997‌ it’s okay! USC was always number one, so hopefully I’ll get that

@Cameron121‌ I plan on majoring in psychology on a pre-med track. The Dartmouth thing is looking pretty good to my family too, haha. My dad is a Dartmouth alum, so he’s especially for it, but USC is just the “one” I guess you could say!

I’m with your Dad on this one, but I’m a dad too, so I’m biased!!

Hey everybody, how’s it going? I just got here from UCI’s thread, it’s a bloodbath over there :frowning:

@onmyway21 is that irvine? what do you mean? are people fighting? lol

@itsdomoo No, everybody is getting rejected today. Like EVERYBODY. Including me. Have there been acceptances here?

@onmyway21 Yeah, a few from when USC did the scholarship thing in jan. USC is sending off decisions tomorrow and updating the portal on Friday.

sorry on getting rejected btw!

@itsdomoo I also heard that mail (like actual paper;) ) was supposed to be sent out for USC today. But I guess that’s tomorrow. And it’s alright lol.

@onmyway21 The only ones who have heard so far are the major scholarship winners… RD go in the mail tomorrow – USPS priority for admitted students. CA kids admitted should get the news Wed. Apparently, decisions will be online on Friday. The acceptance rate for USC is much tougher than UCI, but we’ve seen quite a bit of good news here.

According to Parchment, I have a 33% shot at being admitted, and had a 31% shot at UCLA (denied). So basically, not getting in :disappointed: It’s been my dream school since I was seven. Hopefully I’ll be invited to the Trojan Transfer Program at least…

@FilmMaker – Hang in there. You never know. Fight on!

Yeah i know about the rate :/. I have a question though. @LegacyMom. I just so happen to be a legacy applicant. So i just wanted to know how much that would affect my decision. I know they still must take into account all my credentials but just wondering.

@onmyway21‌, It might help a litte. I heard a Georgetown admissions counselor say legacy status might be able to heal the sick, but not raise the dead. My sons are legacies, but they had good test scores and grades, so I’m not sure how much it made a difference. If you don’t get admitted for Fall, you have a great shot at being a spring admit. Good luck!

Man I hope I’m “sick”. And I’m interested in this possible spring admit even though that seems kind of strange. Thank you! I have a lot more questions, but for a later time.

@LegacyMom‌ Thank you, I’m trying my best!

@onmyway21‌ I’d be perfectly happy to be a spring admit. It isn’t ideal, but it’s still USC. We’re SO close to knowing.

Yea @FilmMaker1‌ but wouldn’t we be attending somewhere else by then?

Oh wait is it like a little thing they do after fall admits but still during the senior year?

Srry for the double post

@onmyway21 no. They allow you to take a “gap semester” or study abroad or attend another college in the mean time

But they would notify you that you’re being considered for spring admits I’d assume?

oh and if anyone is baffled by my editing times, my computer has CA time and my phone is on PA time, because I’m in PA right now, moved from CA in 2013 (10th grade)

@Itsdomoo‌ @onmyway21‌ Yeah, you just attend another school for the fall semester. I’m looking at either UC Santa Cruz, LMU, or Santa Monica College for that semester if I get a spring spot.

So scared, PArchment said I had a 51% chance of being admitted to UCLA (denied) and a 31% of USC meaning I am most likely going to be denied. Although it said I had a 21% change of getting into UVA and I did. This is killing me.

OH well guess I gotta just hope for the best
