[ /list][ b]General Comments:[ /b]
I come from the Northeast, and the big focus out here is the Ivies. We have all of them in driving distance and the focus on those eight schools is immense among the higher strata of students. But it doesn’t have to be that way. WUSTL has been great to me thus far, and I expect that things will progress in a similar fashion. Its special without being unattainable. I honestly felt like it was a home and I would strongly encourage all people to apply to WashU, or visit at the very least, because once you visit you’ll fall in love. I also would suggest not to get caught up on stats. Stats aren’t everything. They are a big part of it, but sometimes if you’re what a school is looking for things will work out. Its good to have a sense of who is getting accepted and who isn’t, but just because you don’t feel you don’t match up or because someone who looks better on paper was rejected doesn’t mean you won’t get in. Keep your head up, and try to put your best foot forward. That’s all you can do this late in the game.</p>
