As long the aid comes in at or below what the Net Price Calculator came up with, I’ll be a Wellesley woman next year.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how many applied to Wellesley this year? I know Bryn Mawr and Mount Holyoke both had an increase in applications, but I was wondering if that was the same for all of the 7 Sisters.

Smith had a definite increase, but I’m not sure about Wellesley.

In answer to your question Smith College’s applications were up 5% over last year which was a record year for applications. Total applications at Smith for 2012 were 4,334 which eciipsed last year’s record. Mount Holyoke and Bryn Mawr were also up over last year’s numbers.

Danielle2400, they were more concerned with Wellesley actually.

I got possible :/

Do you guys mind posting stats?

Stats is in the other thread.

my fellow likelies: is joining the wellesley 2016 fb group acceptable, given our “unofficially accepted” status? even if it’s not my first choice?

If its not your first choice, I dont think I would. I did join the FB group even with only a likely because likely = acceptance as long as you don’t do anything stupid. Then again our situations are different because Wellesley is my first choice and I will be attending as long as financial aid is reasonable.

Would they actually inform you if you are unlikely to be accepted? I have not been informed about anything. There is no evaluation button on my Portal. Please advise so I can make decision whether to continue my FAFSA and CSS for Wellesley. Thank you.

I read other old threads. Someone had indicated that if they list you admit type as RD which would be the same as unlikely. Otherwise, the admit type would be EE. Is this true?

If you don’t have the button then either you didn’t apply as EE (by Jan 1 and specifying Early Evaluation on your application) or they messed up. If you did apply EE, contact them. Otherwise, just wait for RD decisions.

Likely!!! so excited suuupper reach for me! :)

Anyone know what the acceptance rate for EE is? (By acceptance, I mean “Likely”.)
I feel like I read the number somewhere but I can’t find it again!

I’m almost positive it is 35%. I remember reading it somewhere on CC.

when do we know officially if we got in?

Woah. You guys. Today I got a letter from Smith saying I got accepted early too (I think same as Larentia). Now I have a difficult decision to make between Wellesley and Smith!

I believe we get the official letter around late March. Yeah I know a couple people who got that letter too! I think they do it purposely because Wellesley does Early Evaluation hahah

i got a likely letter!! ahhhh so happy
my sister goes to wellesley and i absolutely adore it!! i think its my first choice

congrats to everyone else who got one!

@ohreally877 ahaha i was wondering that too! i really want to!

Wellesley said I checked RD on my supplement. I am going to submit my FAFSA and CSS profile. Hope to receive some good news in March. Thanks!
