I’ve got a Skype lol…pm me:D

I also have Skype. Don’t use it much except to harass a friend who hardly appears in the two aforementioned sites I’m on.

Remember in the movie how happy and excited Rapunzel is right after she escapes the tower? But five seconds later she’s crying about how her leaving the tower will crush her mother? And then she goes through that cycle continuously? That’s exactly how I feel about Wellesley right now!

11:45AM: Yay, it’s almost midnight! I’ll be getting my results in only 15 hours! Everyone thinks I’m a good fit for Wellesley, so I’ll probably at least get a possibly.

12:00AM: There’s no way Wellesley would ever accept me with my stats. I should just prepare myself for an unlikely right now. My life is probably OVER!!! sob

12:10AM: Whee, I get my results today! I’m so excited! I hope I get accepted!

lol

@Larentia
I read about your acceptance on the Smith forum, too. Congratulations! I’m curious, if you get accepted to Wellesley, too, which one would you rather go to: Wellesley or Smith, and why?

Everyone at my school goes to a state school, too. The average HS grad at my school goes to the University of Colorado at Boulder and majors in engineering/mathematics/computer science. I’m the only one I know that actually wants to go to a private, out of state school and do something in humanities, lol.

Im so nervous…
11 more hours

@UFONinja
Smith hands-down. The queer community seems to be more prominent, there’s a lack of restricting distribution requirements, Northampton, the housing system, Praxis, and, honestly I can go on, but Smith just seems to be more of a fit for me.

Also nearly everyone goes to state down here. Most of them herald UT Austin or Texas A & M, wanting to be in some medical profession, while I’m here making googly eyes at private LACs and pursuing a career in writing.

It’s 6:10 AM over here on the west coast… I couldn’t sleep last night… I had a dream that Wellesley publicly ranked their likely/possibly/unlikely decisions and I was one spot away from being a likely… while a friend of mine (who isn’t even applying) got the #1 position. I woke up at 12 AM, 3 AM, 4 AM, and now 6 AM… This day needs to end hahah

@Larentia
That’s so cool! I want to be an author, too! That’s actually what I wrote my college essay on :D

Would you rather major in English or Creative Writing? I want to major in English, because I want to be an English professor as well as a published author.

@StarbucksBarista

Sorry about flaking out last night! I had to go to bed. Haha we seem to be very similar in our perspectives:)

Im so nervous!

I can’t wait for another seven hours!!! Ahhhhhhh!

Btw, I also wrote my essay about writing. writing a novel to be specific.

I’ll be freaking through every class today-.-

@Larentia - we are also from Texas and while I didn’t do an official count at the NM awards ceremony, they announced where the kids were attending or applied and for our school district, must have been 90% either attending UT or A&M. I was truly surprised. My D NEVER even considered either and has always been looking for LAC’s or small research universities. I would have thought the brightest kids would have more varied aspirations - maybe it’s a money thing - for sure cheap within the state at the flagship with great stats - hard to overlook that.

BTW - I am clearly much more anxious about the EE notification today than my D!!!

Good luck to you all!!!

About four hours left!!!

About 3 hours left! @dailydish, no biggie :)

@StarbucksBarista. I have a skype
PM me.
I am freaking out like crazy as well :o

Hey guys! Not to freak out… but it’s coming out in 2 hours. 2. hours. AHHHHH

Lol there’s the evaluation button on portal and I was like !!! And after I clicked it, it told me to check at 5pm est…

Now my adrenalines going out of control!

I did the same thing! I saw it and completely flipped…1.5 hours still…

@UFOninja
I actually want to be a copywriter or show writer (for theme parks) rather than a published author. Also, I’m not majoring in English or Creative Writing. I’m more interested in Comparative Literature and Media Studies. Write what you know, they supposedly say, so I don’t want to limit myself to English literature.

@maidenmom
Well, UT and A&M are fabulous schools, but, yeah, public schools were never appealing to me since they tend to be huge. Hope your daughter gets in.

…fourteen more minutes!

One hour left! I literally cannot wait any longer. AGHHHHHHHHHH!!!
