Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.): None to speak of.
Subjective:
Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): Nothing, really.
Job/Work Experience: I did an unpaid internship at an solar company, is one thing.
Volunteer/Community service: I volunteered a bit during the 2012 presidential race, but that’s about it.
Essays: My CommonApp essay was just a retool of my Windows on Williams essay, and I didn’t really like it. My supplement was kind of weird and pretentious, but I liked it.
Teacher Recommendation: Pretty good. I had two community college professors write for me, and one of them is an English Prof., so I assume that they were at least okay.
Counselor Rec: I’m homeschooled, so my mother wrote it. Very brief, kind of cringe worthy but hey they required an counselor rec.
Additional Rec:
Other
State (if domestic applicant): Pennsylvania
Country (if international applicant):
School Type: Homeschooled
Ethnicity: White
Gender: Male
Income Bracket: 28k~
Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): I went to Windows on Williams, but I’m not first-gen or anything. I’m pretty poor, if that’s a hook.
Reflection
Strengths: Stats, maybe? I have no idea; I didn’t screw up too hard in any area of my application, which might’ve been part of it.
Weaknesses: ECs were pretty weak, but I’m from a not-rich background so competition dressage or whatever was pretty much out of the question for me.
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Probably because I went to Windows on Williams but I have no idea how I got into WoW, so, who knows?
General Comments: Naw, I don’t want to comment too much. Draw your own conclusions, people.
