I am so happy that no one at my school knows that Yale decisions come out Wednesday night. Hopefully I don’t have to tell anyone Thursday that I was rejected.

^I won’t have any shame in saying I got rejected from Yale. Heck, it feels awkward even mentioning that you applied.

I definitely won’t hang my head but I don’t really like having the conversation.

did anyone get an e-mail from yale confirming the March 30th decision release date?

^Nope. I think the e-mail they sent when you applied is all that they’ve sent.

I feel like the very first person to log onto Eli at 5PM wednesday should get an automatic acceptance.

^Sounds reasonable.

Just to pass time, I thought I would share that my AP US history teacher last gave 10 points to whichever student submitted his essay the closest to 12 o’clock midnight. The catch: if you are one second over, you 10 points.

Several students participated, the winner submitted at 11:59:59, and two of the losers submitted at around 12:00:03, receiving grades in the 80s.

^ Maybe they do, you’ll never know.

ccuser, was there a single clock that each student was watching? Otherwise what would happen if the “losers’” clocks were out of sync with the master clock?

Students had to email the essay to the teacher’s school email. He used whatever time the email system said.

Many students were just ill-prepared. They didn’t put in the necessary practice to perfect the submissions. The winner had it down to a science, calculating the lag-time between hitting enter and having the email sent.

My teacher was honestly nuts, in a good way. He was always coming up with schemes to make things interesting.

that’s fun though! And at least it’s optional, that you don’t lose marks if you don’t participate (just send it in early). I wish my classes did that. Although my marks would probably have dropped severely…

This wait is extremely unpleasant. I’m really anxious just to accept whatever happens. Dun dun dunnnnn

I can’t deal with school this week. How can I learn anything when all I can think about is March 30th, 5 PM? I imagine my answers to all math related problems will be some combination of the numbers 3, 30, and 5. Gaaaaaaah.

AGH the rest of my life rests on tomorrow.

I’ve overslept twice this week. I think this is a bad sign for Wednesday. Or maybe I just need some sleep.

There will be a new episode tomorrow night, should we need happiness in a time of great disappointment. Or if we need to celebrate :)

Modern Family was my fav current comedy for a while, but Parks and Recreation has easily topped it.

I feel like Modern Family has gone downhill a lot this season.

How I met your mother, on the other hand, remains a masterpiece each week.
