<p>atleast when i applied to colleges all my correspondence with them was atleast semi formal…</p>
<p>and my experiences have told me that screwing up an email doesn’t help ur chances…</p>
<p>i wrote to northwestern and by mistake mentioned Duke in my email. a student officer wrote back -“i’m not sure if you are sure of where this email has reached, this is Northwestern, NOT duke as u mentioned in ur email…” (i got into duke, rejected by northwestern, poetic justice eh?)</p>
<p>my advice to you is to be a bit more formal in your email correspondence with adcoms…</p>
