Mini… Lol. I appreciate the info. I do…

The Parshat is Ki Tisa, when Moses descends from the mountain to find the people made a golden calf. P3T can correct me if I am wrong.

Xiggi, for first time, you have me confused. Elba was a organizer, but then spent millions in Neimans and US property and plastic surgery. How is that your team?

Bookworm, do you have any comments or opinions on this week’s Torah portion?

The CC cafe gives me more laughs and more education than any of the supposed entertainment threads I visit.

Learning about those who post starkers does give me pause…but whatever

Give it a rest.

Never assume someone else couldn’t go to town at your expense if they so chose.

Deborah T, what are you talking about?

[In the pink - Telegraph](<a href=“In the pink”>In the pink)

I hope your gig isn’t in Arizona. ;)

This is what happens after the service.

Lol. Great video. Some people have a lot of talent.

Yup. Ki Tisa is this week’s Torah portion, so Exodus ch 30 v.11 through ch 34 v. 35.

Hold onto your gold cufflinks, dstark!

Lol…no jewelry. I know tmi. Lol

My “team” is composed of people who like to blame the unions for most of our problems. I was just messing with DStark who sometimes resent my affinity to pepper his “economic” subject du jour with a bit of “union news.” And it is unfortunate that, like the Energizer bunny, the misdeed of union leaders are almost daily fodder.

This said, the case of Elba appears to be at a scale rarely seen, even in a country that has elevated public corruption to an art form.

Although totally irrelevant to this thread --although no less zany than pink shirts versus the Torah-- the news of the arrest of an “untouchable” will have deep national and international ramifications. Really deep!

Here’s the original pink shirt thingee:

[pink elephants on parade - YouTube](<a href=“pink elephants on parade - YouTube”>pink elephants on parade - YouTube)

Given the number and oddity of Jewish sects, I wonder if there isn’t a pink shirt group somewhere. I would love to see a Hassid sect doing pink.

(To explain, a number of Hassid sects wear fur hats. It would cool to see them dyed pink.)

Mini, it is interesting that you posted those videos.
“Be afraid”.
I think anxiety for many people drops in their
50s and 60s. I have found this to be true. Don’t know about the 70s and 80s. I see anxiety rising in the 80s but I am not there yet.

I feel so much less anxiety than I used to feel and I think you do too.

The one thing that brings on anxiety is the synagogue because when I grew up, I could never be Jewish enough.
I am not blaming the congregation where I grew up because many were holocaust survivors. They had issues as they should.

It won’t be that bad tomorrow because the synagogue is 400 miles from my house. So I don’t care that much but I expect a pang or two.

That will be the time to think of pink elephants. Lol

Hey, I been dead once. Now I don’t fear much of anything. What are they gonna do, kill me? Been there, done that. It’s not so bad.

Hope it isn’t Arizona. You know who wears pink there…

Lol… No.

People in prison?

So we wanna find out if you were excommunicated…

Mini, lol.

It went very well. I had a few pangs. The young man who had the Bar Mitzvah was incredible. He is and will do very well and will contribute to society. He talked about donating to a cause he believes in…
There was a lot of talk about empathy which I like. I guess Moses was trying to understand Aaron. Others understand the story more than I understand.
The clothes… There were a lot of pink elephants around. And blue and green and brown. Half the people wore suits. Some didn’t. Some didn’t wear coats.
I am glad I wore a suit because I am a relative. Pink worked well for me.

Driving 400 miles wasn’t that bad. I was speeding back and forth.
So Cal is a very different culture than Nor Cal. People talk as if Cal is one big monolithic place. Lol

I am glad I went. It was a lot of fun. I am glad it is over.
There were no cartoons.
