Yikes, Fly me to the moon. That is freaky
Agreed @bookworm. It was freaky just writing the post.
What about the old wives’ tale that women who are pregnant with girls swell up and retain water, while women who are pregnant with boys just stick out in the front?
That was true for me, but my sample size of two doesn’t confirm the truth of this.
“More interested in when these old tales have proven true.”
there probably is not a case of old wives tales being true…but you know what is 100% true/accurate…
murphy’s law!
veryhappy, there is zero correlation to where a baby is positioned or swelling etc etc and gender. I heard one even better , your skin color during pregnancy changes to be more like the father of your child. also cocoa butter does not help with stretch marks.
and not a wives tale but something always said wrong…
it is bag of waters not bag of water that breaks or needs to be broken before birth.
VHAppy, true for me too
Another unsubstantiated tale: when you start adopti N proceedings, or actually adopt, you may become pregnant. I know at least 4 people who adopted, then got pregnant within 2 years.
@bookworm, I know someone that had that happen as well.

Touching frogs gives you warts.
If you ask someone if they’re a cop and they are, they don’t have to tell you, no matter what every teenage stoner in America believes.
