<p>ForeverAlone, Beilein was hired in 2007, three years before Dave Brandon was made AD. The basketball program’s success cannot be attributed to him. Since 2010, the Hockey and Football programs have not made much progress, and along with Basketball, are the main sports as far as the alums are concerned. Doing well in gymnastics, softball and swimming is great, but hardly matters to the majority of alums. Michigan has often excelled in those sports anyway. That is not to say that getting rid of DB is going to be easy…or cheap. However, I think his time is up and it is time to move on to another AD.</p>
