You never have to recover from a good start!

This quote came from Buddy Melges - an accomplished sailor.

I first heard it from the VP of Sales at our company who was encouraging us to get ahead of our quota rather than make a late charge. I’ve used it numerous times since with my kids in high school to encourage them to get off to a fast start for the trimester rather than get behind.

This one was inspired by my on Mom, many years ago, when I had to decide between commuting to a local college or living away at a state college. She told me to go away, try it, if you do not like it you can always come home. You may always wonder ‘what if’ if you never tried.

My advice to my D since age zero. She knows that both my hubby and I adore what we do and wouldn’t want to do anything else. When our family live and schedule go nuts, she knows that we still love what we do and it makes all the headache worth it!
