<p>All 3Ss are home, happy & healthy.</p>

<p>Went to Sunday School & drove home along the bay as the sunshine glistened on the blue blue water.</p>

<p>Spent some time w/ friends at a gathering for a couple who are moving - that was a little sad, but I’m happy for them too.</p>

<p>DH sold 4 vintage guitars for some much-needed $$.</p>

<p>Lots more I could mention - but all in all a wonderful day. I’m thankful that I could experience it!</p>

<p>The ONE thing that made today great was being handed a thank you note from my kid…
“…it goes down to thanking you for everything. You helped me pick out my college, you found my dream school for me, you went with me to visit them, you helped me whenever I needed it. Thank you so much. Those four words do not seem enough to express everything that you have done for me in the past year, let alone the past 18. Thank you again for all you have done for me and given me.” I cried.</p>

<p>We had a quiet family day, her best friend since first grade came over from the neighborhood we left 5 years ago. Pool and hot tub, a delicious supper salad, some good wine. There is nothing more to ask for after a day like today.</p>

<p>Offically here it’s 12:05 - but since CC still says “today” I will post! Today I got phone calls from all three of my kids! Voluntarily! And all talked a long time. S1 was best man for his college roommate yesterday and wanted to tell me all about it. S2 won a mock audition this week and shared the specifics. And D finally got a moment between activities to let me know how well things are going for her out in Oregon.</p>

<p>Woke up this morning with a migraine - threw up, took my meds, and went back to bed. Never would have believed it would turn out to be such a great day after all!</p>

<p>It was truly a beautiful summer day, not too hot and clear blue sky.</p>

<p>DH and I went for a different walk, so it felt like an adventure.</p>

<p>And family had a very nice French dinner out together.</p>

<p>DD showed me pictures of her climb on Sat to see the sunrise over the valley, and I have seen very few climbing pictures. (Guess it is hard to climb and man the camera at the same time ?!! LOL)</p>

<p>All three DDs here for dinner and my parents. too.
It was sunny and warm (hey it’s the PNW, that is a big thing, even in summer)
A bald eagle was parked in our tree most of the day
In the evening a group of blue heron’s hung out in the same tree.</p>

<p>Today I went running w/a friend I hadn’t seen in a while, at 6:15 a.m. Beautiful day, fun time.</p>

<p>Yesterday was a perfect day. Woke up beside the person I have loved dearly for over 30 years. Went to a beautiful Mass. Had tickets to the Red Sox-Athletics game (great seats and didn’t need to worry about Manny being Manny). Had a great dinner with friends. Came home and curled up with the Sunday paper. Actually got to bed at a reasonable hour and fell asleep with little effort. Great day!</p>

<p>Another birthday wish for SJChessmom, from yet another mom from SJ (many moons ago).</p>

<p>Susan, thank you for thinking of us on the weekend! It was such a perfect time for all of us and everything went wonderfully! Will fill you in, maybe even with pictures, if we’re ever in the city at the same time. :slight_smile: Congrats to S for her show and for the opportunity to perform it for the new Tischies. I know that if Mary asked her to do it then, it must be fabulous. Best wishes also to M as she heads off to a new adventure at MIT.</p>

<p>Looks like it’s going to be another great day here. Lots of beautiful sunshine and blue sky this morning. Thank you to nysmile for starting this thread, it’s good to hear that nice things are happening to our CC friends. And it sure beats the tit-for-tat political posts which have filled the Cafe recently.</p>

<p>Just back from a trip to the “Genius Bar” at the Apple store and found out the new battery, hard drive repair, and outer case of S’s Macbook are all covered under an extended warrantee we didn’t know we had!</p>

<p>This is a small thing, but it made me laugh really hard.</p>

<p>While S1 was loading the dishwasher, he turns to me and says, “I’m so happy we have opposable thumbs.” </p>

<p>It was sunny when I woke up at 5:30 this morning! I hear good weather is on the way. Yay!!!</p>
