<p>Have you checked out Enterprise? I like Hertz but the last 4 cars we have rented have come in at half the cost on Enterprise. If you belong to AAA make sure you ask for the AAA discount.
Also try taking your son off and see if the difference is significant.</p>
<p>Lately, I have found Costco online travel offers some car rental discounts.</p>
<p>S is NOT listed as a driver but Hertz had a coupon code that allowed waiver of fee for 21-26 aged AAA drivers, so he was recently added on the current Hertz $1000+ reservation. Will try Budget with this code. Have not been able to get a quote on Enterprise for Seattle to LAX & have tried the Costco discounts.</p>
