“MJ, I am not sure what I want to major in exactly. And that is part of the problem. I now have an Associate’s degree in General Studies. Are the Bachelors in Liberal Studies looked on seriously?”
You were very smart to earn an Associates in General Studies, because that is basically the bulk of your general education requirements right there.
A BA or BS in Liberal Studies, quite frankly, is more Humanities based and makes things easy for when you go into Graduate level programs at “Brick and Mortar” Universities for Theology and other academic disciplines which do not have a very stringent BA or BS Major requirement. A BS in Professional Studies, however, offers a very fair amount of business related schoolwork where you can earn yourself a fine degree which could lead to a variety of Business orientated jobs.
“I was thinking of majoring either in Computer Science something Inot programming) or Healthcare something (not a nurse). I want a reputable school that accepts Pell grants for its online bachelor’s programs.”
Well, I cannot help you a super whole lot on that. Except to say that if an online school does not accept Pell Grants and the like, then you should write them off because they might not be accredited.
Please think of where you live. You could very well live in a state that has a University with an online degree option. Trust me, it is far easier and it is of great benefit to your future if you research real “brick and mortar” schools which offer some online degrees.
