To anybody who had the payment problem and got it solved, how long did it take before it was updated with your credit card payment? I submitted all of my payments around this time last night but they haven’t show up yet… I suppose I need to wait another day or something huh?

Give it a day or two. Thousands submitted payments yesterday so it could take a while

For Brown, I paid by credit card on 12/31 and put mail check. Unfortunately, I got paranoid and saw that people were using fee waiver, so I tried to cancel the payment and instead use a fee waver. The cancellation didn’t come into effect till today, however. Basically, even though I selected cancel, it still said I was paying by mail check. Now it says that I haven’t paid yet, and I just chose fee waver.

Anyone know if this will resolve itself? I put mail check for Stanford, and it’s been processed fine. Stupid me and my paranoia.

desperatechaos, i have kind of the similar situation. i paid by credit card on 12/31 for yale, got the email receipt and everything but common app said i didn’t pay and wouldn’t let me submit my application. so like a lot of people, i clicked that i would mail a check and sent in my app perfectly. but today, it says i haven’t paid yet and it gives me those same options, “credit card, fee waiver request, mail check”

i did the same thing for upenn, but they said that i’ve paid now by credit card, even though i said i would pay by mailing a check on the application. so everything is okay for upenn, but not yale. do they need more time to update or what?

my payment just showed up that i submitted the 31st. i guess it just took a while to process, you guys just need to relax because i’m sure it’s just backed up with nobody working new year’s.

i submitted 5 payments on the 31st, and the only one that wouldn’t register was yale’s. i waited 2 days (i selected mail check to submit the app) and just sent the commonapp people my transaction number so they can check it for me. if you guys are having trouble, you should do the same. the transaction number is on the email the commonapp sends to your credit card address.
