UNM still requires a SAT or ACT AND a GPA score in order to qualify for the Amigo Scholarship; however, for both the WUE/WUE Plus and LUE/LUE Plus, the student only needs either a GPA OR a standardized test score to qualify.

Student must apply to and be accepted to UNM by May 1.

WUE and LUE offer 150% of instate tuition rate to non-residents.
WUE Plus/LUE Plus offer instate tuition rates to non-residents.

UNM has a low COA.
Instate tuition & fees = $9228/year (2 semesters, 15 credits each semester)
Traditional dorm + meal plan =$10,395/year

Without a state residency, the OP could still qualify for the International Amigo with a just GPA.
