Opinions on Ohio Schools from Ohio residents

Keep in mind one likely reason for CWRU’s edging out the LACs is the fact CWRU has a well-respected engineering school which draws students from across the country and world.

Another thing to keep in mind is that unless things have changed in the last decade and half, some of the “depressing” factors on the board scores may be due to the fact Con admissions* don’t weigh board scores very much so a decent portion of incoming Con students who aren’t double degree sometimes come in with really lowish board scores.

  • Which makes sense. Why turn away someone who has demonstrated by audition that s/he has great potential to be a virtuoso on a musical instrument/music just because one’s board scores may be below the board score ranges for the college?
