<p>AS a parent I really though that orientation was great. It gave me a slice of what my D would be experiencing in college. I recommend that if a parent (or both) can go they should. The parents and kids are separated from the begining–you only get to eat together! I figure I am paying for this education—impress me UCD with what I am buying!
We live in the Bay Area so we just drove back and forth for the two days—but you can spend the night if you want and stay in the single dorms or you can stay in a local hotel. We really learned a lot…</p>
