Can you all share what merit and/ or need based aid you received from UF? DS really interested in this school but can’t go without decrease in cost.
@artist2233 UF is not known for being generous with merit aid, only the highest of the high flyers. Need based is a different animal. I’m sure you could call the financial aid office and get feedback.
@Artist2233 My son is a freshman this year. He got $8,000/yr.
He had a 4.0, 1420, 2 varsity sports and captain of both. We are from ME, so idk if that helped because they wanted to attract some farther away kiddos. My niece is a junior there from GA and she didn’t get any merit. A lot more kids apply from GA so it might depend on what state you’re in.
My son would have been a sophomore this year, but chose elsewhere. He was offered 16k/yr. Had a 34 ACT, All As in all honors and APs (6). Tennis captain (4 years varsity), NHS president, Student council officer, Boys state…My current high school senior would go to Florida in a heartbeat for that amount, lol
