<p>Actually that whole 25% tax thing is crap. Most major American companies are able to get back most of the taxes they pay due to loopholes in the government for all sorts of wierd things. Ultimately, it is the lower-upper class and everyone below who carry the burden.</p>
<p>From PBS: “In early April 2004, the General Accounting Office (GAO) reported that over 60 percent of all American corporations paid no federal taxes at all from 1996 through 2000.” Who was President during this period?</p>

<p>Those are stats for '96 to '00. It’d be interesting to see what they are like now. I’d bet you that figure has risen.</p>
<p>And that would be pure speculation on your part. Whether it is or not, Bush is still pushing for tax reform.</p>
