Overlooked?

I’d like to chime in… not that this argument hasn’t gone on long enough. I’d like to comment on a few of Zepprock07’s comments.

Mediocre professors who make tons of mistakes? Sure. I’ve had a few. Especially in lower level classes–it happens. Have I had some incredible, inspiring, and brilliant professors? Definitely. Are some of the freshman dorms pretty awful? Sure, but no worse than freshman dorms at other schools, although you could always luck out and be placed in Kennedy or 319 Huntington if you aren’t honors. Also, sure, yelling out the windows about your weed is a stupid, stupid thing to do, but find me a school where no student has ever been caught with weed because they were being idiots. Are Tufts and BC “better” schools? Sure, depending on how you look at it, but no school is flawless. BU… maybe it’s my NU bias, but I think it’s only a matter of time before our reputation becomes just as good, if not better, than theirs. Either way, they don’t say it “sucks to BU” for nothing!

Also, as far as financial aid/scholarships, I’ve experienced nothing but good things. They were more than helpful when I turned in FAFSA 3 months late!

Northeastern has its flaws. It’s just recently started gaining a better reputation, and it still has a lot of work to do. Still, zepp, I think your criticisms are a little exaggerated and unfair. Also, enjoy West village, have the mice made their way into F yet? Only a matter of time. Make sure to get a good housing number for next year, otherwise you’ll be stuck in Rubenstein with the cockroaches, or an apartment the size of a closet. The horror!
