pugfug90, you should watch yourself.

Did I accuse someone of being mentally ill for no reason? Did I wish deadly hurricanes to squash McCain’s convention?

I don’t think so.

Calling atheists funny isn’t any more of an insult than calling them silly or even dumb. It’s a slight, that’s intended to point out how ridiculous someone is. If someone is absolutely ridiculous, I won’t waste my time validating their idea, I’ll just call them funny.

In my view, and I’m guessing Colbert’s and much of America also, atheists are funny.

Oh yeah, Glenn Beck articulated my argument than me.

" Palin is clearly praying that we’re doing the right thing in Iraq, something sensible for an introspective woman of faith concerned about the lives of our troops to do. She’s not saying that she just received a text message from heaven’s BlackBerry ordering her to launch missiles. Sorry to disappoint you." :D

If you need Glenn Beck to properly articulate your thoughts, you need to go back to middle school.

pugfug90, I don’t know what you’re talking about. I do know that Stephen Colbert is a satirist and his show is a comedy; ergo the Atheists appear “funny”. Not much there can be taken seriously. I would be very careful before calling atheists ridicilous, that wouldn’t be the Christian thing to do.

I think that those that push their atheism and their antireligion crusade, are funny.

Lori Lippman Brown of The Secular Coalition for America… right…

It’s different if you’re an agnostic to me. You just don’t believe…in anything. Atheists however, believe that there isn’t a God…and their crusades against God and his many believers are funny.

Geez, Sam Harris… LOL go Warren.

I consider myself a Christian. I don’t know what kind of Christian you are if you’re posting things like this. Geez…this is the reason some educated people think Christians are crazy.

I thought it was funny when Lori would testify on Kumar’s behalf but not the bible. But that’s just me… :)

I watched that episode you’re alluding to twice. I happen to be a great fan of The Colbert Report. It’s comedy! It has little to do with atheism.

True, but it’s not scripted for the guests for the most part.

Lori’s actions were really telling.
