<p>My D. would never allow us and we have never tried to watch her that close in HS. My only envolvement was to remind her that there is life outside of her homework and those textbooks need to be closed sometime. She mentioned to us many times that most parents give their kids a lot of incentives (even money) for getting good grades. We never minded those comments, telling her that it is her life and it is up to her how successful she wants to be. We made ourselves available for academic help but only if it was requested by her. She was the only child at home. These is pretty incredible and admirable that having that many kids, these parents could still spend that much time with each one and keep in mind their exam schedule and so forth, which we never were aware of.</p>
