The one school that offered us PLUS loan and the national info says if you get turned down for PLUS loan the school usually makes it up in aid,etc…so that might not be that big of deal and you should ask the financial aid office. Als

That is not true.

Some people are applying for Plus Loans of $15k or more (like the OP). If the OP is denied for that $15k Plus loan the school will NOT “make up it up in aid.” That is very misleading. At most, the student would get $4k in additional loans. ($5k if a junior or senior).

@BethsMom thank you for the link! It was very helpful! I am encouraged that the letter I got saying my application was accepted after getting info from one of the credit bureaus is a good sign! I’m a little less stressed right now!
