Parenting book recommendations?

This thread makes me think I should have bought some boy books along the way…

For very early on - “Dr. Mom” by Marianne Neifert. I really preferred this to Brazelton. Very practical.

Systematic Training for Effective Parenting. Amazingly eyeopening stuff…they have books for this age as well as teenagers. Parenting classes I have gone to basically say if your kid ain’t fixed by age 11 it is OVER! You failed! This program is quite different…however requires some serious dedication.

How could I forget about “Dr. Mom!” Hers was usually the first book I went to when the kids had any kind of health issue. I used to watch “What Every Baby Knows” with Dr. Brazelton, and I thought he was wonderful.

For the slightly older age group: “Get out of My Life, but First Could You Take Me and Cheryl to the Mall.” Although I know some 11 year olds whose parents need the book! The “tween” years are quite a challenge.
