<p>The e-mails opened the door. Others came forward. The IM conversations prompted the resignation. Foley will be lucky if the details don’t prompt a criminal investigation.</p>

<p>in this case, as soon as the story started coming out, the republicans called it a smear campaign in an election, and claimed it was all innocent and sweet and normal and that the press was taking it out of context, when in truth, it is not normal and not a smear campaign…this afternoon, they were defending him and blaming everyone but Foley…and still claiming it was all just a big misunderstanding…</p>
<p>Itstoomuch! He’s been into the prune box way too many times. My Firefox couldn’t open the pdf file, nor the Netscape. I finally dangerously used IE and risking contaminations, but the file opened. </p>

<p>itstoomuch… I was unwilling to post the direct link to the PDF in part because once you open it and read it, most people will wish they hadn’t. Let’s just suffice it to say that if I had a teenage son engaging in that sort of IM exchange with another same-age teenager I’d think that it was just normal kid-stuff, but if I saw him having the same sort of conversation with an adult, I’d call the cops. </p>
<p>I mean, I assume 15 year old boys probably delight in discussing the graphic details of their adventures in self-gratification with one another… but it’s pretty sick to see an adult who is obsessed with that & directing the flow of the conversation.</p>

<p>The party of family values would not tolderate such behavior from Foley and thus he resigned rather than being thrown out by Republicans. Compare that to the party of no values, the Democratic party, that defended Pres. Clinton’s adultery with an employee as being a private matter and just sex.</p>
