<p>Daughter applied to renew her passport–first full adult one–on Feb 22. Received it May 11.</p>
<p>Renewal of passport applied for Aug 17th, rec’d Sept 20th. Did not pay for expedited delivery.</p>
<p>Seems that some regions are knocking them out and others are really lagging.</p>
<p>Applied for my passport 8/2 in MA, received it 9/5. Wasn’t expedited or anything. 
Oh how I love New England!</p>

<p>My daughter applied for her passport on August 21st and received it on September 12th…less than a week after receiving the e-mail saying it would arrive in 10-12 weeks :).</p>
<p>Looks like after all the passport brouhaha of the spring/early summer, the government got on the stick and did something to alleviate the problem.</p>

<p>Just had my younger son’s passport renewed, and it was a one month turn around. We did not pay extra for it to be expedited.</p>
<p>DH and I got our passports day before yesterday … just 32 days from the day we applied. We didn’t pay extra … just regular service.</p>
<p>Did you receive your birth certificate back in the same mailing as the passport or was it in a separate mailing? We received our passports today (less than a month from applying) but our birth certificates were not in the mailing.</p>
<p>Mine came separately, a couple of days after the passport.</p>
<p>My son’s was mailed seperately. I expected that because that is how my other son’s was mailed too. I did not expect, however, that it would take nearly a week to get the birth certificate back. We just got the birth certificate under seperate cover along with his old cancelled passport (I think that both of those came together).</p>
<p>thanks for the info… i actually just got through to the passport office on the phone and they told me that they were sent separately and could take from 1-2 weeks after the passport.</p>
<p>Wow! Just looked at the date we applied and it was only twenty days until they arrived in the mail.</p>
<p>Birth certificate and extra photo came back with the passport here.</p>
<p>May I suggest that anyone who needs a passport for next summer get theirs now? Looks like things are moving quite well in the Passport office…</p>
