Same. Apparently it’s missing a signature but we can’t get to it to sign it
As of yesterday, the number of ISIRs received by some colleges I talked to had gone from hundreds to thousands. Not error free, but progress.
What submission date are they on? Mine was 1/14. Just don’t want to waste time checking…thank you.
I don’t know. My son’s FAFSA was completed January 4th and his was submitted March 15.
I was 1/3 and just got it a few days ago. I’d check Friday or Monday
Does anyone know if the signature page can be mailed in this year? It looks like it was an option in previous years though not clear about 24-25 form.
All signatures must be provided electronically: Federal Student Aid. Is this an issue for you? If so, what’s going on that prevents an electronic signature?
A lot of us have a “needs signature” error but the option to make edits is greyed out. So it’s in limbo and nothing is being sent to schools without the signature.
But as soon as the FAFSA is available for updates … by April 1, hopefully … the signatures can be added.
What is your son seeing in his account when he signs in? Does he see Processed?
that is the screenshot from my son’s account. I started it and I thought he finished it back on 1/2, but this is saying I started it and he is being invited to finish it. When he clicks on Accept invitation it gives us this message.
Edit: I am not sure what is going on. I thought the student is supposed to invite the parent. Did you complete as a parent & invite the student?
I think that is what I did.
I started it so I could do the whole IRS thing because I thought it took a few days (from my memory of doing FAFSA for my D17)
Okay. Did he ever accept your invitation and work through the FAFSA questions?
that is the thing, he said he did, and he even got an email after through his email address saying he submitted it. Also said that it could not give a SAI amount. BUT whenever we would log in, there was never a tracker with status. Then when we would go to the activity drop down it would say one was in process. So it was conflicting.
If he has an email saying that it was submitted, I think you just need to hang in & wait for the next email. That one will come after the FAFSA is processed. He needs to watch carefully for any emails from FSA. He may or may not need to make corrections, but he should eventually get an email to that effect. Look on this thread for examples from others who received information in the past few days. Also, have him look through his email, including spam, for any communications from Department of Education or Federal Student Aid. It does sound like he submitted, based on your information.
