I’m actually surprised there aren’t more building collapses. Architects and engineers are under SO much pressure to put out jobs quickly and cheaply. Then throw in changes that come at you fast and furious, and it’s a recipe for disaster. Oh, yeah, and young architects/engineers seem to think that all you need to do is push a button and the computer will spit out a perfect design! I look at a LOT of construction documents and I’m appalled at the (lack of) quality I’m seeing.
