@5up3rG: Wow I didn’t know that! I knew it was low, but 3%?! Ouch.

UPenn is a long shot because my son is trying to get into the Jerome Fisher program. If he doesn’t get into UPenn, he will decide between UCLA, USC and UCSD engineering. Cal Berkeley too, if he gets accepted. Can anyone recommend pros and cons for engineering on the first three schools mentioned?

@hopeful2b_yank3e:

I thought Cornell wouldn’t release decisions till Mar. 31st?!!

Some cornell programs have rolling admissions

CALS, ILR, and the Hotel school all have rolling admissions.

The other schools - you’ll have to wait until March 31.

arn’t most cornell decisions released on the 1st? I thought all ivies had to send them out the same day.

most cornell decisions are released on the 1st but they sent rolling decisions out. most are targeted at minorities however, and plenty more are getting that acceptance letter on the 1st.

Yeah, exactly as they said haha.

God, I really hope I get in. That’d just be unreal.

hopeful2b_yank3e : What school at Cornell did you get into? I also got into Cornell (ILR school), and am sitting waiting to hear from all the other colleges I applied to including penn.

On Cornell, you mentioned Rolling Admission. Can you still apply?

talk about pennnnnnnnnnn. not cornell

@collegesgirl: Nope - it just means that those three colleges have started sending admissions letters since late February.

I was confused if I had accidentally opened the wrong thread ![]()
Do your chances increase if you apply to none of the ‘special’ programs? Or those are considered only after the usual admissions?

16 more days guys!

woo hoo these 16 days are gonna fly by for me, i almost don’t want D-Day to come…time just goes too fast!

its a mixed feeling for me.

i think its gonna go slow! ahh lol

Less than 2 weeks left!

i’m just excited to get it over with to be honest.

I sort of feel the same way ^.

Sort of.
