I’m applying to UVA, UNC-CH, Dartmouth, Vandie,UCB,UCSD,UCLA, and USC. Maybe Wash U and UChicago. Most of my schools are reaches which is really problematic…
@Makooks I started just as late because I’m just that stupid… Do you want to read each other’s essays? I know this is kinda overstepping boundaries so it’s completely fine if you don’t.
@israelifun Are you referring to the autobiography that is my life? Because yes, all the time. But honestly, it’s all going to work out in the end. I’ll be ninety and reflecting on how great a life I had, so I just relax and try not to stress out too much in the present. What’s done is done, so now, all we can do is wait and hope for good news.
@SylvRsr Okay so I don’t think it’s overstepping any boundaries because I’m glad all of us Penn applicants are getting to know each other a little bit better but I just honestly don’t want to look at it again and get feedback because it’s just going to stress me out. I wrote about like why I wanted my major and why I wanted to study it at Penn(BBB), how I liked the ABCS courses, and Penn Abroad and how it all tied into my interests, ECS, and such.
@SylvRsr @Makooks Yeah… I started mine the day before the application was due, oops. That sounds so awful to say, but every time I tried to write, I felt like I should research more about Penn, so I really didn’t start writing until I absolutely had to.
I’m applying to Columbia (lol tho), Dartmouth, Cornell, NYU, BU, USC, UCB, UCLA, WashU, and Vandy. I applied to Northeastern, Michigan, Fordham, UVA, and Binghamton early.

See I really should have researched more. That’s where I fell short. Everything I said was so shallow. But what’s done is done.
I did research a ton for my interview. I guess I should have done that a lot more for my supplement.

@Makooks Now that I think about it I don’t really want feedback from other people about my essay either because I’m afraid of what they might say… I wrote about how I’m focused on my primary academic goal - to become a surgeon and I like exploring new things, and how Penn gives me a solid academic foundation for med school and still allows me to explore so many other things with their interdisciplinary programs. It was specific but I don’t think it was passionate.
@lirn1130 I only started mine like a week before and spent most of my time editing my Common App. I’m sure if you did that much research, even if you wrote it the day before it would still be great because you have both the information and the passion!

I’m applying RD (sorry for crashing ED thread). I included in my Penn essay that I’d like to become a campus tour guide o.o
well more so i’m just curious what other applicants talked about and what i’m up against ;___; i’m sure it’s much better than you think it is; you always doubt yourself once something is out of your hands (not you specifically but i mean the general you)

Everyone thinks I picked colleges based on rankings but I went to the list of colleges with collegiate skating teams and picked from there. I’m such a hot mess omg.

well for my cmu essay i legit copied my penn essay and changed the name so hopefully they’ll think i’m passionate lmao
Ya my dad really wanted me to apply EA to Yale basically only for the name and ranking but I didn’t like Yale nearly as much as I loved Penn.
