Penn ED SEAS Acceptance Rate ~40%+

That’s not totally accurate. People who love Penn SEAS with math/science credentials will apply ED, but the best candidates will wait until RD - they want to go for Harvard, MIT, Stanford, etc. There are not very many fantastic electrical engineering candidates that prefer Penn SEAS to MIT or Stanford.

In reality, you’re competing against a weaker pool. If you want Penn SEAS, definitely apply ED.

remember that a lot of these ED acceptances may be legacies

wow this is awesome :)

this thread is from over two years ago ** chelsearox **, ED apps increased this year, sorry to say.

^
I was so happy until I saw your post…

Hehe sorry; I was so excited too, until I realized how old the thread was…

Do either of you know the numbers now for SEAS?

[Penn Engineering - Fast Facts](<a href=“Marketing and Communications |”>About)

^ 16.9% overall admit rate for SEAS last year. WOW.

LOL @ everyone saying SEAS is easier to get into… It’s overdone–enough said.
