thank u!!!

Accepted to the College of Engineering

GPA Embry-Riddle 2004-2005 3.4 (30 credits)
GPA community college 2009-10 4.0 (29 credits)

don’t exactly remember SAT’s
top 10% of high school
above a 4.0 weighed gpa

I still didn’t get an answer… I applied at the end of january =/

I waited forever to hear back also, my application was submitted in July 09 for spring but they do not accept applications for 3 semesters, so it was forwarded to summer… it was then completed at the beginning of January and I was accepted yesterday, good luck to everyone still waiting

Any other transfers receive or are still waiting on a decision?

For those who are still waiting, when did you send in your application with all the supplementary transcripts, and what are your stats?

My stats:
*Recent cumulative GPA - 3.9’ish for four semesters at a community college and at a local tier 3 university.

*Prior cumulative GPA at a ranked university over seven years ago - .95 (i was immature and unmotivated and didn’t care for school) for four semesters. I’m hoping they’ll take into consideration the upward trend.

*Two-time veteran in the Army.

*Prior major was social work but applying for sociology at Penn State.

*First choice campus is UP. Second is Harrisburg.

*Declined the essay on the application.

*App with all supplementary transcripts sent in around Feb. 2. I’m hoping Penn State’s Undergrad Admissions facebook ([Penn State Undergraduate Admissions | Facebook](Redirecting...)) priority deadline for transfers is correct, which is April 1, instead of the Feb. 1 deadline that’s on their website.

I sent my app january 26 and I’m still waiting. My high school gpa was 3.3 (top 20 %) and I’m in my fourth semester of community college, I have a 4.0 and will get my associates in engineering this May. I applied for the school of engineering (Industrial) at UP.

GPA: 3.7
SAT Math: 700
SAT CR: 550
SAT Writing: 560

I applied to penn state main before the deadline and I got a reply back on like the second (on the main admissions page after going to check your admissions status or w/e) and I got a letter on there saying that I WASN’T accepted to main campus but I was accepted to Hazelton. This confuses me, since I picked Harrisburg as my alternate campus?.. The letter seemed like it was really pushing or me to accept the offer instead of waiting longer. Also doesn’t make sense that I got something back like that 2 days after the application deadline, and nothing else. Is this my real rejection letter or something else? I don’t get why I wasn’t accepted :(

hi2hi2hi2- I feel like there has to be something wrong… your stats are really good and you’re above average to get accepted to UP. Call admissions asap, they may have made a mistake.

@soap74 Thanks for the help. I actually just looked at my application summary and it says my alternate is Hazelton. I swear though, I put in Harrisburg. Oh well, thats odd (Honestly doesn’t matter to me, just a little annoying). Ill still call though and update on how it goes.

What major did you apply for?

@NonexistantExit I applied for Computer Science. I want to double major though. Comp sci and math probs.

what do you think my chances are of getting into penn state UP…im a NJ transfer student
